Helping Students Stay Safe and Build Healthier Relationships

Strengthening social skills can help keep students safer.

Targeting key National Health Standards, uSafeHS offers students safe, practical approaches for dealing with unhealthy behaviors such as cyberbullying or hazing, and provides tools to help them leave uncomfortable or risky situations.

uSafeHS also makes it simpler for students to find help and guidance at school and beyond. It provides an engaging way for high school students to learn the foundations of healthy relationships.

uSafeHS includes short micro-learning modules, developed within a social and emotional learning framework. Students earn credits for completing modules, which can be used to customize a personal avatar.

Lesson plans for teachers who wish to cover learning modules in a classroom setting are also provided.

It can be challenging to leave an uncomfortable situation with peers. Time to Leave™ lets students send themselves a credible fake text or call, giving them a reason to go.

uSafeHS encourages students to speak with a parent or trusted adult if they have a problem, and to call 911 if it’s an emergency. The app also offers an optional online reporting form which is sent to a designated school administrator.

Schools have the option to disable the reporting feature.
